The new adaptation of Wuthering Heights has been full of drama. First Natalie Portman, who was supposed to headline, dropped out. Then Sienna Miller was said to have been in talks - a disasterous rumour, I thought, since I've never been interested in Miller in anything she's been in - but I guess that was dropped when director John Maybury (whom she'd worked with in the Dylan Thomas biopic The Edge of Love) left the project due to those pesky "creative differences". Now Wuthering Heights is looking for a new director, but the good thing to come out of it is that the search for Catherine is over. Abbie Cornish (Candy, Stop-Loss) will take over the leading role, with Michael Fassbender (300, Hunger) already attached to play Heathcliff. (Variety)

JoBlo have heard that Kevin McKidd (Rome, Journeyman) might have been approached to star in the new "reinvented" Highlander. If so, the role he'd be up for is presumably Christopher Lambert's one in the 1986 original, the Scottish immortal Connor MacLeod.

Trailer for Frost/Nixon, starring Michael Sheen and Frank Langella, this time without the subtitles.

Via Twitch, the international trailer for German fantasy film Krabat, about an orphaned boy in 18th century Europe who is recruited by an ominous figure known as the Master to learn black magic. Based on the novel The Satanic Mill by Otfried Preußler, and starring David Kross, Daniel Brühl, Christian Redl, Robert Stadlober and Paula Kalenberg. [imdb]

Preview clips from the second season premiere of Sarah Connor Chronicles, plus loads of cast interviews. (io9)

James Franco told MTV Movies Blog that he would play a young Allen Ginsberg in a documentary film titled Howl after Ginsberg's famous poem. Oscar winner Rob Epstein will direct. [imdb]

Some awesome, very photojournalistic stills for Kathryn Bigelow's (Strange Days) Iraq war film The Hurt Locker, starring Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brain Geraghty, Guy Pearce, Ralph Fiennes, David Morse, and Christian Camargo. Inspired by true events and recently declassified information, The Hurt Locker follows an elite Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team in present-day Baghdad that fights an onslaught of bombs and snipers. Renner will play the leader of the team, while Mackie and Geraghty are members of it. Fiennes plays a professional mercenary. More stills, showing the actors, here. [imdb]
