Alejandro Amenabar's Egyptian epic has a title: Agora. Starring Rachel Weisz as legendary astrologer-philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria, and Max Minghella (Art School Confidential) as her slave, Darus, who is torn between his love for his mistress and the possibility of gaining his freedom by joining the rising tide of Christianity. Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratatouille) will make his live-action directorial debut with 1906. Based on the novel by James Dalessandro, the story centers on a college student who begins to investigate the murder of his father, uncovering a web of deceit that has left the city vulnerable to the sort of fire that breaks out when the Great Earthquake of 1906 hits San Francisco. David Yates, director of the fifth and sixth Harry Potter films, will be back to direct Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The final book will be split into two movies, due to its length, with Part I to be released in November 2010, followed by Part II in May 2011. Yates will shoot the two sections concurrently.
