Not sure what I was expecting from a poster for a film based on a Robert E. Howard book, but that wasn't it!

Actually that's a total lie. I was expecting a 16th century themed poster by Boris Vallejo. Hah.

I hope this isn't going to be a LXG type of adaptation...

Well the subject material is, I think, less needful of respect. Kane seems to be more cerebral than Conan (also by Howard), but it can hardly be in Alan Moore's league, surely . . .

If we can avoid Tom Sawyer randomly appearing, I'm hopeful :D

You must tell me more about this character. I'm totally clueless about the pulp-era, unless you count Sherlock Holmes.

Is 4pm an okay time to arrive?

Also, I accidentally lent Melissa my DVD with Moonlight eps 1-4 on it. Would you still like me to bring eps 5-8 though?

And by "accidentally", I meant that I forgot that I only had one copy of them burned.

I know very little about him actually, just what I just read on Wikipedia and a few references I picked up in other Howard books. Howard was definitely one of the pulpiest of the pulp authors though ;-)

Solomon Kane seems like a much deeper character than Conan though. Sort of an edgy seeker-after evil/lone gunman type. Interesting! Must wander up to one of the awesome secondhand bookshops later today and see, but I suspect the books are hard to find . . .

4pm is fine :)

eps 5-8 would be lovely. And Dinner Rush! :D
