The one-sheet for The Nines. Written and directed by John August, it's about a troubled actor, a television show runner, and an acclaimed videogame designer, who find their lives intertwining in mysterious and unsettling ways. Ryan Reynolds, Melissa McCarthy, Hope Davis and Elle Fanning star. There's a trailer at IGN. [johnaugust.com] [imdb]

Jace at Televisionary is giddy as HBO announces that they have officially ordered Alan Ball's (Six Feet Under) Southern vampire series, True Blood, based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. It stars Anna Paquin (X-Men) as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress at a Louisiana diner, and Stephen Moyer (Ultraviolet) as the mysterious vampire Bill Compton. Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell and Brook Kerr are also regular members of the cast. The pilot was shot back in June. [imdb]

Trailer for Reservation Road, a drama that revolves around two fathers whose families and lives tragically converge with the death of a child. Directed by Terry George (Hotel Rwanda) and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Connelly, and Mira Sorvino. [imdb]

These pictures of the beautiful Emmanuelle Chriqui remind me how much I miss Sloan (her character on HBO's Entourage). (Just Jared)

Trailer for the second season of Showtime's The Tudors.

Okay, you can force-feed me as many pictures of doe-eyed Zac Efron as you like, but I don't buy it: The New American Heartthrob? Are you for real? He looks all of twelve years old. (Just Jared)

Finally, a hilarious video of David Caruso (CSI: Miami) via The Ampersand:
