Draco who gave away his heart.
No, I'm not talking about Harry Potter. I've just been rewatching the sentimental do-gooder medieval adventure that is Dragonheart. The film came out in 1996. I remember talking about it with a friend at my parents' wedding dinner party. (That was the second time they got married.) She was describing the plot to me, as I hadn't seen it yet, and telling me how much she cried over the sad ending. At the time I thought: "This film sounds dumb." Boy, was I right.
Also watched: the behind the scenes documentary on The New World DVD. Uncertain who I came out loving the more. The so-intense-it-hurts Christian Bale or genius cinematographer Emmanuel "Chivo" Lubezki.
P.S. If you are not reading
dwseason4 (Doctor Who season 4 as written by
ariastar), you are missing out! The prologue starts

Tony Award winning actor Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, The Good Shepherd). Jude Law and Patrick Wilson are also rumoured to have been cast, as Ozymandias and the Nite Owl respectively. [

Daniel Radcliffe grows a beard. (And he kinda freaks me out. Not that he's gone and turned into Macaulay Culkin or anything, but the body don't quite match with the face yet, is what I'm saying. Plus, leather vests? Not unless you're packed and carrying, dear.)
Jeffrey Wells blogs about The Bourne Ultimatum. Skip to the end, and you'll find a very interesting bit of information about
this shot, glimpsed in the trailer.
Ryland Walker Knight looks at two recent animated films, Ratatouille (Brad Bird) and Paprika (Satoshi Kon):
Paprika horrifies where Ratatouille delights, but it is equal parts in awe of the world as is its family-friendly cinematic neighbor. The possibilities are endless, it would appear, but all are somehow inhibited by modernity in some fashion.
Media Blvd reports some Battlestar Galactica final season spoilers:
"Douglas revealed that the final 5 Cylons are in fact a different breed of Cylon than the human form versions that attacked the colonies. These 5 in fact are the original Cylon’s, are immortal, and are the Cylon Gods. Apparently, the repeating theme within the show, that all of this has happened before, and will happen again is going to be explored in the final season. But it was clear that the implications are that the Cylon’s rose before in the distant past of the colonies, and will rise again."
