Two new, effective "big face" posters for The Countess (Julie Delpy directed/starring film about Erzsébet Báthory, the "bloody countess"), and August (starring Josh Hartnett and Naomie Harris).

Naomie Harris (Miami Vice) has joined the cast of the crime drama, The Night Watchmen - now renamed Night Watch. Film also stars Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Chris Evans, Common and Terry Crew. (Coming Soon) [imdb]

Film clips from Michael Winterbottom's A Mighty Heart, starring Angelina Jolie and Dan Futterman. The film is screening out of competition at Cannes. [imdb]

Brontë, the period biopic on the famous literary sisters, seems to have finally settled on a cast. Contrary to an earlier Guardian report, Michelle Williams, Bryce Dallas Howard and Evan Rachel Wood will play the Bronte sisters: Charlotte, Emily and Anne. Their brother Branwell will presumeably still be played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Brian Cox will portray their father. Charles Sturridge (Shakleton) will direct. (Coming Soon) [imdb]

Gerard Butler (300) will join Nicolas Cage in Brian De Palma's The Untouchable prequel, The Untouchables: Capone Rising. Hopefully it will be a better film than Hannibal Rising. (Coming Soon) [imdb]

Neil Gaiman hints in his blog at the possibility of a future collaboration between he and Guillermo del Toro, director of Pan's Pabyrinth. (via Twitch)

Elijah Wood will star as Iggy Pop in the biopic The Passenger. (Variety)
