Author's Notes: I tried to find a Chinese equivalent to the saying which River quotes, but in the end I had to stick with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is taken from his Flight to Arras.

Thank you so much for this. Each piece elegant and sparse, the space between sentences loaded with meaning. By far the best Simon-centric fic I've read thus far. Heartbreaking. I look forward to reading more from you.
