i have a lot of different ideas about rinzler, but i'll do pygmalion!rinzler because i should be working on that rn 8D;

1. he isn't used to thinking, having thoughts of his own. that's the first and most important part. every thought that comes into his mind is new and unusual because he isn't used to thinking it.

2. he's good at things. everything. if there's something that's asked of him, he can do it and do it well.

3. he remembers what happened before, but he doesn't feel guilty about it - because he couldn't think at all then, couldn't feel. he was a machine.

4. i do believe that programs start changing when they interact with users in the grid. that their code starts twisting. so sam basically started something that helped tron resurface, but he also changed rinzler, starting then. rinzler just didn't understand how to react.

5. at the core of him, there's still something that wants to follow orders and wants to please. but now he can choose, he can follow this instinct or say no, he can do whatever he decides to do. and if he decides to want to follow sam, that's his choice and he's allowed to do that, too.
