1. He's constantly been defined by his dad, and he doesn't want to be. He's strongly individual and he likes to set himself apart, and he'd rather it be with his skills but when his skills aren't enough, he sets himself apart in looks and actions. He has to do things his way.
2. He's at his most comfortable when he's on top of the heap, when he's completely secure in being better than everyone else. Which doesn't mean that's a good place for him to be, but that's what he strives for.
3. He's much more creative and innovative than his dad, he definitely has much more of an artistic flair. He thinks outside the box.
4. One of the reasons he's so, so concerned about software security is, really, because of his dad. He doesn't want software to be stolen anymore. So his reaction is to lock everything up tight, make it so that no one can copy their systems or code or anything because that's what his dad did and it was wrong. So it's sort of personal.

Inwardly he's freaking out, inwardly he digs his heels in and has all sorts of complexes and whatnot but, because of the aforementioned need to different, if everyone else is freaking out, he can keep his cool. Because he's in charge, he's got this. This is his comfort zone, being on top of things, being flexible, working with it. But if it wasn't for that, he would be flipping out.
This is mostly just what I got from knowing Dillinger and that short scene and not too much extrapolating, really. He had a very strong presence for such a short cameo.
