Ha ha! Kakashi, it is good to know that even though you look like an old man, you do not run like one! Most excellent.

Before I go any further, let it be known that I officially challenge my eternal rival to a feverish game of tic-tac-toe!

The meeting the Hokage called...she is strange sometimes. I mean no disrespect of course; she is a powerful shinobi and had she not returned to our village, Lee...well... I cannot even write it! While she contacted me in advance about the meeting, it seems that no one else knew anything about it until just before. Maybe she was still thinking about it when she talked to me, eh?

Too bad she could not direct it herself. Sake! Ah, a powerful drink, and too much of it can drive a person mad! It is almost amusing that the Hokage cannot attend a meeting while under the influence, while my beloved student has more than two drops and turns into the greatest fighting menace anyone has ever seen! Ho ho! Wow, I'm already digressing.

I am left with a strange taste in my mouth after it was all said and done, and not because of Jiraiya-sama's book announcement. Everything makes sense, yes, but I cannot decide if we are being too hasty or if we are not taking enough precautions--not that I doubt Neji-san's powers. I know better than to question the judgement of a sannin.

I know he is a jounin now and has been on solitary missions before this, but I cannot rejoice in his leadership as I did for Lee's (Lee!) first solo mission. If Neji is the optimal choice, it implies that the enemy expected is strong. I cannot think this bodes well.
