Not whole lot of exciting anything has happened recently. I did however manage to drop my muffler a couple days ago. I can't wait until either (a) I get a new form of transportation, or (b) that car dies. Either way, I think I am going to knock that fucker off of a bridge. I hate that fucking car.
I take that first comment back. Kiley, myself, Baker and Marcela got to see B.B. King last Sunday at the Elliot. Kiley and Marcela got tickets for Baker and me for our respective birthdays. It was quite entertaining. It was a lot more like kickin' it with B.B. King than just watching him play. He's 81 years old with diabetes...His band was pretty smooth, too. B.B. spent a lot of time talking about ladies, his weiner, being old, having diabetes. He's quite the story teller...and has a really bad habit of losing track of what he was talking about. Lucile, B.B.'s hollow-body, has the cleanest, most impressive tone of any blues guitar I think I have ever heard.
The opening act was the Ronnie Baker Brooks Blues Band. Ronnie is the son of legendary blues man Ronnie Brooks. Not too surprisingly, both him and his band were pretty impressive as well - especially the man behind the keys. Whoever ran sound for RBBB did a pretty piss-poor job, but either way the keys players knows his stuff. Mr. Jellybean Johnson also made a guest appearance on the set. The whole night was awesome.
So unless I am forgetting something else, that's been about the biggest event to have happen in recent time. I really dislike not having the internet/a computer at home. But I have to build a computer first...so, bit by bit, I guess.
I have aso finally acquired the necessary materials to start painting again.
The new Damien Rice album is pretty tits, too.
