I quit Fuji a couple of days ago, started working at UPS this morning and at the Park and Rec yesterday.

UPS isn't too bad at all. It is work, but it's pretty consistant in work amount, and I have more than one responsibility at once. I know I am not exactly the most fast-paced person around, and I'm not a big fan of being in a hurry...everywhere but work. Sit down, do-nothing jobs are never any fun at all...

until...

Working at the Park and Rec happened, and let me tell you, it is tits. I'm actually working right now. The best thing about this job, hands down, is that I get to bring my cds to work and listen whatever I want to all day long. So far today, I have made it through a Nightmares On Wax single, Jimmy Edgar's Color Strips, the Richard D. James Album (an old classic), and am currently making my way through a treturous Medeski, Martin and Wood mix cd. Getting to read and play around on the internet is quite a plus, too. I will admit, there is a lot of stuff to know and remember. I didn't realize how much this place has to do with things that don't go on here (softball, baseball, coach pitch, golf, etc.), so folks will call and ask a ton of questions that I really don't have answers for. But the more I am here, I'll figure all of that stuff out. For the time being, all I have to do is be nice and rock out - and occasionally count money.

Kiley got home yesterday!

I no longer have to work Friday nights!

Electro-acoustic sigils, anybody?

I believe that today, or maybe it was yesterday, is/was the 25th aniversary of the death of Bob Marley.

I haven't attempted to use that software yet, but this shouldn't be too difficult to conduct.

I think I am going to go to school. I don't entirely know what for. For that matter, I don't really have the slightest clue. The more I think about it, though, the more it seems like something I may want to involve myself with.

I have been really absorbed in lots and lots and lots of electronic music lately, too. I've learned a lot about playing drums through immitating what I hear, and I'm thinking that sitting down behind a kid with the likes of Autechre and Squarepusher will do me some good...along with playing my rudiments as much as possible.

Trans Canada Highway trailer. Man, especially when it's raining, I love me some BOC.

It's chilly in here...I think that's m'book telling me that it's time to get t'readin' again.
