A moment to update.
Finally, a moment to breathe, and a moment to update. Oh LJ, how I have forsaken thee!
So this past month or so had me sick. A flu, followed up by a cold a few weeks later had me weak physically and mentally. It also didn't help that I had to go see the doctor one too many times to not only take care of these colds (which the doctor said was viral), but to also take care of general well-being. Thanks to the early deaths on my father's side and all the hypertension issues on my mom's side, I'm pretty much at-risk to die of heart complications. My cholesterol is a bit high and my blood pressure is high. I'm now taking Lipitor for the cholesterol and another medication for my blood pressure. The meds are working. I'm also on a diet that has me cutting down on sodium and meat. Well, considering I don't have another doctor visit until I run out of Lipitor, I've given myself Saturday as the day to cheat on my diet. Of course, it's not a full-blown cheating. Nevertheless, I feel thinner and my waistline is shrinking. Eventually, I'll shed all this extra weight I'm carrying around. Yes, I am exercising a little more. At least 45 minutes doing cardio stuff.
My health issues couldn't have come at a worse time in my young, budding professional career in the finance industry. A new Senior VP for Operations has taken over and is trying to tighten the ship. I go out of action and the whole place is a mess. The moment I go back into action, two of our operations people leave for greener pastures. And that came at an even worse time...Fiscal Quarter-End. That was an even worse mess. Anyhoo, the company is gonna expand and I just need to be patient. Hopefully, I'll thrive under the expansion and get the most mileage out of this place. As long as I get a raise and I still have medical benefits. It's nice not to pay so much for doctor visits and prescription meds.
The concert scene has been a bit quiet, but whenever it makes a noise, it makes quite the noise. Will Hoge and Honor By August never fail to deliver the goods, but combine the two acts on a concert bill...now that's AMAZING.
