So Season 3 of Beauty and the Geek begins tonight! Ashton Kutcher, you're a genius! OK, not really. But still, it's an awesome experiment in reality TV.
Would I qualify as a geek? Sure. If I was an academic ace growing up. Sure, I might have graduated in the top 10% of my high school class, but I didn't get a 1600 on the SAT (remember those days when the SAT had only two sections?), nor did I get straight As all throughout high school. Plus, there happens to be some common ground among the Geeks on the show: their hobbies include anything scientific or science-fiction based. My hobbies then included listening to Top 40/Pop music and chatting with people on the internets, around the time of the dot-com boom.
Ok, I'm still talking to people on the internets, but not via chat rooms! Besides, most people have gone past the chatrooms (only perverted people and Perverted Justice go in there) and even AIM (I only use it in case of emergency), and resort only to MySpace.
But I digress. What was I saying?
Oh yeah, I couldn't be a geek on that show! I'm not too intimidated by beautiful people. I'm not one of those sci-fi people that go to Comicons or Star Trek conventions. I'm just some ordinary person...with a knack for music.
Anyhoo, in real life news...
Work has been utterly busy. And with one week to go before I head for vacation, I need to clean up my desk and my piles (yes, piles) of work. It looks like I'll have to come in uber early for the next four business days to get everything in order. Oy.
And yes, it's ONE MORE WEEK TO FORT LAUDERDALE!
