Another quickie review!

Aug 22, 2006 20:41

Yeah, I know, I'm getting rather lax in my reviews as of late. It's not for a lack of being enthusiastic at these shows (I NEVER write about any show I've gone to that bored me), it's just, well, the same great experience I've written about in past shows from the same musicians. So forgive me.

Nevertheless, quickie review time!

--Curtis Peoples got the show off to a flying start! Though the move to have him up first before that "lady that sings songs about Charlottesville and her husband" was just not a good one. Though I will say that Charlottesville, VA is home to one good thing: Starr Hill. Anyone that can correctly guess why I love Starr Hill (there are a few answers) will win something, I dunno what.
--Tony Lucca is pure acoustic awesomeness. Intense from start to finish.
--Joe Firstman is WAY better now than he was when I last saw him two years ago. And he's got less hair all around his head, which gives a rather youthful complement to his refreshing set.
