Guys I need your help!

I'm teaching a class on translation (English and Japanese), and as one of the requirements of my lesson I have to interview Japanese speakers beforehand. I'm trying to come up with interview questions, and I need your help!

Here are the bare bones of my lesson plan (because let's face it so far capstone >>>>>> lesson plan):

I) Translation within English/Japanese and education
-i.e. reading modern versions of The Tale of Genji versus reading Middle English versions of Shakespeare, the ways we think about learning our native language
II) Translating from Japanese to English
-personal process
-Why do we translate what we do? What do we expect to see in English translations?
III) Translating from English to Japanese
-personal process, awkward phrases
-What is the use of translating in learning a second language?

Seriously guys, any ideas you have would be amazing.

ETA: YES I AM AWARE OF HOW FAIL THIS LESSON PLAN IS SO FAR. I WANT TO GRADUATE OKAY.

homework can go diaf, grad school, japanese, school
