i'm much calmer now
OKAY SO AFTER LAST NIGHT'S FREAK OUT -
As it turns out we're not going to DC this weekend because I got asked to help out at the speech contest. Something about my voice being good and my pronunciation. Also because lol OLDEST STUDENT IN THE CLASS and I just have to speak English (well, not anymore, but that's different). We'll try to go next weekend - I should get on that, I've just been really distracted by work.
My thesis, I want to kill it.
Japanese, also want to kill it.
I'm really, really on edge about the two above items. I have no idea how they manage to occupy so much of my time when I really do so little.
Yesterday I did some job hunting. The job at SE I had been planning to apply for was filled, which was disappointing, but I still found 15 jobs to at least consider with my career counselor next week. I fixed up my resume, which we're going to review as well. It's been years since I wrote a cover letter and just as many years since I wrote a resume to get a job, not just prove I'm awesome.
My router died and it's pissing me off to no end.
I made chocolate covered strawberries on Monday night.
I'm 10/16 in the Sweet Sixteen. My Southwest is dead save Kansas, and my Southeast is... entirely gone. The UCLA pick was a bad loyalty pick (though they still should probably have beat Florida), but Pitt... argh. I'm sure that Duke will beat Arizona, but I'm not sure how much farther they'll be able to get depending on how they play. And if VCU hadn't screwed my Southwest so badly, I'd be pretty damn impressed.
