i'm starting to regret not telling all of this to you

THINGS HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED.

Yesterday I woke up and thankfully remembered that my grant application was due >.> You'd think I'd remember important things like that, but even after I put it in my planner and on a Post-It I still managed to forget for most of the week. I went to Bryan Center to mail my loan paperwork, then went to the Duke Card office to put money on my card so I could make copies, then met up with Yao, then went back to Bryan Center to make copies. Then we had lunch at McDonald's while I watched what would eventually be Cornell beating Temple, which sucks for me because I had Temple winning 3 games.

DAMMIT WHY DIDN'T I PICK A 12 SEED.

We headed over to Smith Warehouse so I could get 4 copies of my transcript, at which point Yao was asked to be a witness at a wedding in an hour. We were really like wtf but whatever... she went! Jen also txted me to tell me that she'd forgotten to turn in her grant application, so after I was done with mine I parked illegally behind Trent so we could turn in our applications together.

Dropped Jen off at the market, then cleaned my apartment, picked up Yao, and went to Dunkin' Donuts with her. Yao likes donuts, hahaha. We picked up pizza for dinner and then met Jen and Lu at my apartment so we could watch The Ring for class on Tuesday.

LU ALSO HAS KANSAS STATE WINNING THE TOURNAMENT. SO THERE.

The movie was... eh. It was kind of gross and bizarre and a little nonsensical, but whatever. We're all okay after it.

lol Also my landlady finally came in to see the paint and damage on my apartment. She'd asked like, three times previously and never did it, so of course she managed to come up while I had company and we were in the middle of a horror movie. orz

I called my aunt to ask for one of her friends' addresses so I could send a thank you card, then it turns out that she got to our mechanic's place and found my parents there. So I talked to my parents a bit... They seem pretty okay with me moving next year, but I really wish I could know earlier than July/August if I got the grant funding, because that would be pretty sweet. I'm not sure I'm willing to afford a $300 change in rent next year (because, let's face it, $600 is easily a con for me).

Lu and Jen left after the movie while Yao stayed to watch the Duke game. Jordan came over because she needed a break from working on her project and watched the game, then the games that they flipped between after that. We watched like 5 minutes of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days before we got really annoyed with Kate Hudson's laugh, then I popped in The Invention of Lying, which I got from Netflix. I actually really liked it; I thought it was darkly funny and a little crude and a little ironic and it had Ricky Gervais, and it didn't have a nice cute moralistic ending. It had a cute ending, but it wasn't clean and perfect, which I liked.

At last, Jordan caved and we drove Yao home and then stopped at Lu's party for literally maybe 15 minutes. I've already been to one of Lu's parties, so I did my part! I'd go to more, because I actually really like dancing (seriously guys, I sometimes think I go to cons so that I can dance in a large room where there is space), but the parties on Central are always in these really tiny apartments and everyone is drunk and you can't move, so what's the point of dancing like that?

Also I'm kind of awkward turtle and don't want to go alone.

I came home and watched Kim Possible (shut up I love that show) and then went to bed :3

I GOT NOTHING DONE YESTERDAY, BUT I FEEL LIKE IT WAS PRODUCTIVE.

;akdfjadf I need to buy plane tickets to Boston ;___;
