i can't see the future and i can't change the past

Yesterday was overall pretty awesome. I woke up early-ish and proceeded to get ready, clean, take care of other little tasks like writing thank you cards and working on my applications. Basically spent from 11 to 5 being productive! And only sort of doing Japanese homework, eff. Though I did look at some of the grammar. Gods that class stresses me out like no other is capable of doing.

Yao and Emily got to my place around 5, so we just kicked it around while waiting for Jordan, Jen, and Gameli, who didn't get here until almost 6 ("What are they buying, the entire market?!"). We had chips, dip, almonds, chocolate covered almonds, deviled eggs, ginger ale, ice cream, and wine. Best dinner ever.

We started with Gojira, which IMO is a pretty fantastic movie anyway. We wondered why people always ran toward Gojira, when the girl was going to cry, when the dramatic music was going to play, and why they didn't just drag Serizawa up to start with :/ Also debated the attractiveness of Serizawa and Ogata, and Yao saved all of us by pointing out that the professor was the leader of the seven samurai, which was driving all of us insane.

Then we took a brief ice cream break, and then started with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which I have to say was the most hilarious thing we'd ever seen, oh my gods. So much awfulness I can't even tell you. Oh man. I don't think any of us will ever get over that.

Yao and Emily actually left partway through the American version, and Jordan and Jen and Gameli left shortly after it had finished. I put my apartment back together while doing Japanese homework (sob) and then did some other things on the Internets before passing out.
