Graduation!
Sooooooo... Friday I went to AHS's graduation.
For the record: if it's not YOUR graduation ceremony, it's boring as fuck. Or maybe that's just for Arcadia, because graduation is at the racetrack. I couldn't see a damn thing--you're too far away to take pictures of people you know graduating. The Senior Class President's speech was okay, except I could only hear 2/3 of it. The Valedictorian speech was both inaudible and, from what I could hear, not very good. The principal was boring (imho, Mr. Plourde was a lot better). And then it's just a long, long time listening while all 900 kids get a fake diploma.
But I heard Szuwei's name! And Amy's too!
Afterward I hung out in the front watching people mill around and taking a couple pictures. I waited with Szuwei's parents for a really long time while Szuwei went a-visiting. The problem with making graduation later is that it gets dark and late, so we didn't get to dinner until 9:30.
I went to dinner with Szuwei and her family at a nice Chinese seafood restaurant and had CANDIED WALNUTS OMG. They were really nice and awesome for letting me come along :D And they gave me some of the leftovers! And the walnuts! XD
Then in the morning (after much much much confusion) I met up with Szuwei at McDonald's and we had breakfast, and she related all the Grad Night exploits. :D
Saturday night Kevin went to some super-fancy Sweet 16 birthday party, so my parents and my grandma and I went out to dinner. Afterward I stayed with my grandma and... watched TV. She has DirectTV, so I flipped channels for most of it. I slept over and my daddy picked me up in the morning.
That's about it. peach_arrow and I spent Sunday marvelling at the insanity that characterizes icontests and my brother and I played FFXII.
And now I will watch some more Love Actually and then go to sleep.
