Well. I'm glad Christmas is over. Maybe my parents will stop yelling at me so much, and I'll stop being so stressed.
Oh wait. Kevin needs to be at school at 9 every morning for driver's ed, my parents want to be at work at some godawful early time, and I have to drive the car.
NEVER MIND.
Hopefully the stress will decrease enough for my eczema to die down a little. This is bad. Like, I should be seeing a dermatologist bad, but I don't want to, because I don't want to deal with my parents over it.
Anyway. I got some really nice stuff this year, and I'm pretty happy all around. I've hit the point where I'm more excited about finding stuff to give people than I am about getting things.
amewarashi: LJ paid time!
laurus_nobilis: LJ paid time!
ayasugi_san: ... Okay, I TOTALLY had something for you. Then I left it at school. *headdesk*
foxfire_sylph: X Infinity artbook. I hope you took that home with you, otherwise we really will have two copies of the exact same book in our room.
Jeff: The ALBINO STITCH!
Ned: March of the Penguins and Sabriel
Paul: Great Lies to Tell Small Kids
Steven: Groundhog Day
Kevin: Anastasia and a sweatshirt from Aeropostale
Sarah: A pair of star earrings
Kyle: Cars
My mommy: A sweatshirt and a 1GB flash drive
My daddy: A sweatshirt and Ray. I tried to get my parents tickets to a UCLA basketball game, but alas... Not only are they sold out, they're SO EXPENSIVE. I may try to get my dad tickets to opening day at Dodger Stadium, but that might also be really expensive...
My auntie: A giraffe plushie and a giraffe bookmark
My grandma: A set of turtle earrings, and a turtle cellphone hanger
Emily & Mary: They got the same things, but since Mary doesn't have her present yet...
Erika and I were the only kids to not get UCLA Bear Wear. WHAT IS THIS??? Just because I buy my own UCLA gear doesn't mean I don't want MORE! But I won't complain too much, because my parents got me some really nice stuff.
I think I prefer playing games with people at the same skill level as me. Because it's really no fun playing Apples to Apples when you have a really perfect card, but no one around you gets the joke because they don't know what the word means or who the person is. Nor is it fun playing Cranium with people substantially less knowledgable (or more knowledgeable) than yourself.
But it was fun anyway, and the teams were at least sort of balanced. We beat the guys pretty handily at Cranium, but they got close at the end because we couldn't spell backwards as a team.
Oh! But the most exciting part of Christmas was our tree falling over. Seriously! The tree just... fell over. Totally ruined one of my presents (but my parents said they would buy me a replacement) and I got to open one of them early because the box was ruined. It was a parka, lol. In Southern California! I think they're trying to tell me I should to go Ski-Beach Day this year...
Know what? I just got back from the mall, and it's not even 11, and it's hopping. Holy guacamole. If Mary were here, I'd have her take me electronics shopping. I think I have to head out to Target still too...
I dug Kevin's GBA out from... somewhere, and now I'm trying to find his games. Of course, the two games I really want cannot be found... So I might have to buy them new anyway. And by now, since they don't make them anymore, it's as expensive as it was when they were first released, if not more so. Oh, how I miss Tactics Advance and Lunar Legend...
And Kevin started FFXII today. HOLY SHIT those are some NICE graphics.
