Sucess
Last night we had some friends over for dinner. It was our first time to have some friends over to the new house. We still aren't 100% moved in but hey, it will all get done eventually.
Anyway, Mark & Rosy came over for dinner, Paul cooked spaghetti making the sauce from scratch. It was really good although not my favorite thing that he makes. But since he volunteered to do the cooking, I wasn't going to complain. We all ate a lot and enjoyed the company of friends. It is so nice to have room to entertain friends and family. That really is the best part of having this house.
This pas week we spent a lot of time getting the bedrooms painted! The house is looking more and more like a home everyday and I am loving it. We still have a little more painting to do but the rest can wait a little bit. I am in no hurry to pick out some more colors. I have to get the office organized before I can even think about that.
Today we spent a few hours doing the last of the back to school thing. The kids got haircuts and shoes. Although I must be honest, I got four pairs of shoes for myself. I NEVER do that. I am not a huge fan of shoes. I get a pair I like and wear them out then get another pair. I normally like to buy jewelry, not shoes. For some reason today I just found all these shoes on sale that I liked and fit well. So I just bit the bullet and took them all home! Needless to say, I won't have to get new shoes for awhile.
I am thinking the for the rest of the evening I am going to look through, cut out coupons and watch some television. I can't help it, I am addicted. I love saving money. I'm not an extreme coupon person or anything, but I can usually save at least 35% to 40% when I go to the grocery store. Saving money is something I really do like.
Nothing else too exciting happening in my world. Work is busy and I am glad the kids go back to school on Tuesday. Let the fun time begin!
