Buying a $20 pet that you get so attached to that you spend $120 to get a damn cyst removed from their side.
Vinny developed this huge lump on his side. It appeared quickly and was growing like mad. It formed where his leg meets his side, so it was easy to miss at first. $120 later and I have a Guinea with a spot of shaved fur, three staples and general grumpiness. Twice a day I get the chase the little fucker around his cage to shove a tiny needleless syringe of antibiotics in his mouth.
