letters

I wrote a letter to Narcissa today, and I'm waiting a response. I do hope she writes me.

Nymphadora is refusing to let us call her by her proper name. No, now it's got to be "Nymph". She won't answer to anything else. This I blame on Sirius. She's not a woodland creature, she's a girl. And Nymphadora is such a lovely name, isn't it? I think so, anyway.

The garden is coming in lovely; lots of potatoes and carrots. The corn didn't work, but I didn't think it would. There's some lovely pumpkins starting to grow, and I think a few squash are ready to eat as well. Ted can't wait for the pumpkins to be ripe. He really wants one of my pumpkin pies. I think that's one of the first things I baked for him. I'm going into the village tomorrow to get some apples to make apple sauce for Nymphadora.

Well enough of my mundane life as a house-wife. Although it's really not that boring. I'm forever busy around here. Ted should be home soon, and I've got to start dinner.
