I'm down, but not out yet

I just did 20 bench pressses, 20 sit ups and 20 leg extensions, so I'm back in the game.
I'll try to do this again a couple of times today.
A couple of people have told me to push through the pain barrier and I believe they're right.
I'll do as much as I can, but I still have vivid memories (sometimes nightmares) of naval crew deliberately torturing me and breaking my body.
I'm not keen to revisit those experiences just yet.
Soon I will be stronger than I've ever been and then it will be time to exercise those demons, so to speak, haha.
