on babies, sleep, and such.
well, there is in fact a baby here now. in my apartment. who i am the boss of.
quite terrifying. and exciting. and exhausting (shocker).
but things are going as well as can be expected so far. she's eating (although not without some help) and has gained back some weight from when she left the hospital, and she likes her car seat a lot. huzzah to happy traveling baby! aside from the occasional shriek fest, I have no complaints really. well, it would be nice if people who weren't me were closer by to come hold the baby sometimes. there are only so many hours i can handle toting a baby around with me.
so far Linnea likes to sleep in two stretches of 3 hours and many more stretches of 30-75 minutes. I haven't decided whether to press my luck and stay awake now (she's been napping since 3:30) or try to eke out a little sleep here and hope she'll nap for a decent stretch again later so I can eat something besides leftovers (for the 5th meal in a row).
