getting old
2 things on my upcoming birthday:
1. I sent out a list, as per usual so people know what to get me/I don't just get socks or money. I sent it yesterday, and my birthday is tomorrow. Item 1 on the list: toothpaste. The only kind I can use costs about 3 times as much as your average toothpaste, and we're running out, so I figure someone will have pity on a broke college student and hook me up. Sad and lonely when needs come before wants on birthdays...
2. Eric admitted to having forgotten about my birthday until he got the email list... silly boy. I'll admit it's been busy, and if it hadn't been for rent, I probably would have missed it too. but still. As a consequence, I demand Chinese take out in compensation for being forgotten.
2b. I feel so old. I just emailed a lab group member, who's 3 years younger than me... makes me feel like a dinosaur. Also my uncle and grandpa seem to be finally on the verge of actually dying rather than just nearly dying for a very long time... makes me feel even older.
