I do not think that word means what you think it does

So I am watching a movie titled "Proof", which I dvr'ed based on the description:  A romantic triangle involving a blind photographer, his housekeeper, and a dishwasher.  Hugo Weaving, Genevieve Picot, 86 minutes.  Please note, when I made the decision to record it, and when I started the movie, I was expecting the dishwasher to be a dishwashing machine, and not, as it happens, Russell Crowe.

What?  It has a blind photographer.  Does sex with kitchen appliances really sound so freaky?

I really need to go on a date.  WITH A PERSON.
