Thanks for your thoughts. My post was more of a tirade, rather than a delineation of weight associated societal paradigms.

The laws of nature are moot. We as humans assume that the world was made for our conquest, so what makes us assume we can comprehend we know what nature intends?

I'll agree with you that lack of medicine to combat serious illnesses was a leading cause of pre-mature death. We no longer live under the looming veil of war, where amputations and gangrene were all too common. Sad to think now the leading cause of death today is from pharmacological medicine itself. In the 1930's our pharmacopeia changed from largely herbal and natural to almost completely synthetic. At some point, we passed the center divider (the balancing point you speak of), and attempted to chemically compensate for our greed.

You are right. Tolerance leads to happiness, and non-judgement to acceptance. Thanks for your response. I was just having "one of those days" where I wish I could shake people and wake them up from their drug induced Fox watching haze.
