Summer
so i still don't know how to do anything on here
well anything really cool, i can do all of the bare minimum stuff
to get by but that's no fun, i'll have to play around with the site more
ANYWAY...
so since summer is coming to an end, and school starts next week, i'll talk about my summer. Which was pretty awesome considering the whole shitty economy and not really going on any vacations. So beginning of summer what did i do...i don't really remember just remember going to the beach all the time.
But on to the cool stuff. I saw Elvis Costello at Amoeba for a free show, which was pretty fucking awesome. He was promoting his new album "Secret, Prophane and Sugarcane" which is a really good album and it's also really interesting how the album sounds VERY american considering he is English, and compared to all of his other music. Here's my really shitty picture of him, stupid zoom.
Next my friend and i sent in pictures to be casted as an extra in The Runaways movie with Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton, Alia Shawkat, and Stella Maeve. They were basically filming their performance scene in Japan where they toured and they need a shitload of asians to be in the crowds. Me being asian and my friend as well thought what the hell, and sent in pictures of us, and we got booked. So we spent all day watching those 5 girls performing "Cherry Bomb" hundreds of times while we are all going crazy in the crowd. One of my favorite parts were the outfits, my jeans were EXTREMELY high and uncomfortable but really cute. Anyways i posted the whole story here at another community community.livejournal.com/runawaysmovie/23077.html#cutid1 Sadly i have no pictures, since that you are not allowed to have cameras on set.
Now in August on the 22nd i went to see Kings Of Leon at the Forum. The seats were incredibly shitty but i was like whatever it's Kings of Leon, the show is going to be amazing no matter where i sit. And it was, but i mean if i could i would not mind at all if i had floor seats.
They played ever song i wanted to hear, and i love that, going to a show and coming out of it feeling totally satisfied.

After the Kings of Leon show i think like 5 or 4 days after i went to a Franz Ferdinand show with my friend at the Hollywood Palladium. Now i'm not an incredibly big Franz Ferdinand fan i have their albums, know a few songs and that's about it. So why would i pay to see a band that i like and not LOVE (like kol)? Because 10$ tickets. No fees, nothing just 10$. So with our 10$ tickets my friend and i left for the show. It was FUCKING AMAZING! my friend was discussing the amazingness of the show with another person, and they were saying how Franz Ferdinand is like one of those bands where you have to see live to see how awesome they are. They give a great show. Highly recommend to see them before you die. And their opening acts were awesome too they were Neverever, and The Blood Arm. The Blood Arm's lead singer jumped into the crowd and sang right there with us dancing lol. Such a good show all around.
