Reality check
I pulled my head out of my ass today and noticed some things.
I squinted at the sunniness of it all.
Once my eyes adjusted to the light, I hopped into my smart car and took it for a ride to the car wash.
It emerged looking as fresh as the day I drove it off the lot. I dropped the top and stowed the side rails.
Targa time.
Next, I popped in the tuneage (summer magic mix by DJ MattC) and cranked the volume..
A Cheshire cat grin overcame me.
I drove through many of the environments that had been significant in my past.
Places that had been painful to visit- until now.
For some reason, today was different.
I am reclaiming what had always been mine.
Places and things I shared are now just mine again.
The order of life as I once knew it is returning to me.
The warmth of the sun feels fantastic!
