So, I've never directly taken post-canon from a fanfic before, but this - to me - is the best possible thing Nico can do.

I had half a mind to put him into medicine anyway (it was that or forensics - though I might later play around with this too) because I figured he might want to do something with his life that was related to life and death - but a baby!doctor? So, so good.
So yes. I got my inspiration for putting Nico into the obstetrics department from above fanfic. It is a brilliant post-canon fanfic piece.
