(You're not gonna reach) My telephone / My-my-my-my telephone

So, I might have vanished from all the internet bar mobile Facebook updates for the last two weeks.

Um.

I... thought there would be a computer at the first hotel? And forgot to get an LJ phone thing for the second?

As to what I was doing, well-

First week with family at Val Cenis-

-second with my school at Alpe d'Huez, home to the longest black run in the world. My group (the advanced one) got down it on the first morning, and by the end of the week, we even managed to get the beginners down. Pretty much. Slowly.

(That's not all of us by the way, in either of them- my parents and sisters aren't in the first, and the second is just the advanced and beginners. I have no idea where everyone else was, but there we go.)

(Also, I'm second from left in both photos, on the back row in the second.)

So that was awesome, right up until I got strep throat on the very last day and spent the 17-hour coach journey home feeling achy, feverish and generally very sorry for myself. Which was fun.

-

Got back from that to an afternoon of Doctor Who watching, and I must say, I heart 11 and Amy so much. That scene where they're looking at the apple in the village square and something goes between them- some kind of look- they had me. And servile Daleks! And Jammy Dodgers! And pretty whale-y things! There was even a reason for Amy's criminally short police skirt (not that I was complaining about that- she's gorgeous), which made me very happy indeed.

I mean, how can you resist?

And now this series is making me such a traitor to 10 that I'm writing fic already. I shouldn't be, but I am.

-

Then after all that, news. And oh my goodness, was there news to get up to date with-

- Polish government decimated, including President and First Lady. Over Russia. Whilst going to commemorate the Russian slaughter of Polish government officials and similar cultural figures.
- Iceland's choking Europe.
- China's had a massive earthquake.
- THE LIB DEMS ARE POPULAR AT LAST
Hetalia fans at the Chicago con were idiots/epic, epic douches.
- dn_contest is gone. ;_; (this fandom's getting so old now, it makes me sad)
