It was, wasn't it? I do get the feeling Merlin's intervention is going to come back to bite him in the read though...
Oh goodness- my sister and I were squirming, and my Mum's since said she was considering coming in because we were 'EEW'-ing so loudly, and she didn't want us watching anything inappropriate. xD
I know! And all the way through Arthur's being all nice to her and going 'Oh yes, I iz REFORM-ED- look at my awesome treatment of servant lady that I now fancy for no apparent reason other than that it's historically canon!' to her, and going 'Do everything for me, slave!' to Merlin when it's OBVS they have so much more chemistry.
/rant.
(hehe- didn't think of it like that. Am rather worried about my slash goggles now. xD)
OMFG, and he is really epically nice to EVERYONE but Merlin. Whereas in Season 1, it's Arthur being mean to everyone, but caring muchly about Merlin. WTFness? I bet what they didn't show us was how Merlin didn't want to have sex with Arthur during the hiatus period, and now Arthur is trying the snubbing/jealous tactic.
I KNOW. It's like the scriptwriters sat down to write this series and thought 'you know, let's just ignore every shred of character development in that last bit apart from the dragon and have some FUN'. Well, that or your explanation, which is rather funnier.
