yea, so the spoons have a couple of new ones for anyone that might care at this little mini-concert in my living room. the tone of our music has gotten so much more intense. I always thought of us as beach bums who knew how to do a serious song every once in a while, and now we just have these violent acoustic throwdowns, with every once in a while a beach bum song to cool off. im looking forward to having the people over that really like sharing in our music. theres this certain few in my mind that i cant wait to play with because i appreciate their inclusion in it. it just seems like more of a unity thing than a band thing.
im going to try out for the solo audition category for DTASC this year. i have never done it before, but now all bets are off, this is basicly my one big prover id like to do this year, with no one else to blame if i stink terribly, and no one else to pat on the back if i end up in a good position. my flame of passion for acting has really been re-ignited.
brook burned me Omar Rodriguez' new solo album, nice guy, that brook. good catch angel. i havent really let the album sink in yet, but omar has definitely been my favorite creative mind of both the mars volta and at the drive in as well.
i just keep counting down the days til the Mount Eerie show. Phil Elverum better watch out because i might just end up professing my love for him mid-set.
