(no subject)
So I come today and get a letter from the UC system in the mail. here i am assuming it is going to be a 'dear ___insert your name here___" letter just saying that perhaps i might like to apply to their school because i was put on their mailing list.
the letter states that I am in the top 4% of my graduating class. and Due to this new program, that guarentees me enrollment into the UC system. After things are checked out with me finishing my senior year, and taking all the neccesary tests. Regardless of wish school I choose, I have been guarenteed a spot at one UC college.
the only clincher is overcrowding issues, meaning there's still a chance that i could pick one and not get it because there were too many people accepted already. But regardless, I will be going to college at a UC.
and wait a minute? this is me? for my 12 plus years of schooling its never been too extremely high of a priority for me. Ive always gotten things done, sure, because it seemed like the neccesary thing to do to get my parents and teachers off my back. but I had no idea i was in the top 4 percent.
