There is more to life than just here and now
I feel like my life is slowly but surely falling into place. Today has to be one of the best days in a long time where I've actually been happy. Busy/tired, but none the less, happy. In fact, the past 7 days have been great! Just got home from the first nite of bible study, which was at this girl Jenny's house. But first, my day was kind of ahh I just wanna take a break. Went to bed last nite at 230am and woke up at 730 to do this test for econ. Running on 5 hours of sleep = a super tired Noël. Class at 10.. found out my econ professor pushed the exam back to next Monday instead of this Wed which is awesome b/c I so wasn't ready for it. Accounting was at 1130 and I sat there lost :-/ So after class I went to the bookstore and bought this working papers accounting book which has all of the charts and tables made up for you, and makes it easier to do the hw and understand. Hopefully this will help me pass this class. Although, I do have a "B" right now. :)
Ok so after class, I rushed home and made it there by 1. Ate lunch, took a 30 min nap, then rushed to work at 230. Got home at 615, quickly showered, got ready and left to go to Jenny's. Its pretty cool b/c before tonite, Nathalie and I have been meeting up every single day before we go work out, starting on Vday, to read this book called The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. She told me about this study group that her friend Jenny and her parents had put together. Its a city wide church thing where Orlando is kind of like the guinea pig city for this program and people volunteer their homes or anywhere they want to have people get together and discuss what they've read and learned. Its so much fun, I love it!
Anyway, we decided to do this.. to find time every day to read and basically find out God's purpose for our life. Its really interesting. I've noticed a (good) change in myself after just one week, feel better about myself and am "growing up" in a sense. I called Nick, told him about all this and asked if he'd be interested in coming and he said yes! It made me so happy to hear he wanted to join us. :) Natalie was excited too. Our other friend Mike said he'd go, but had to work tonite and couldn't make it. We hope he'll come next Monday. But as for tonite, our group consisted of Dana, me, Nick, Nathalie, Megan, Jenny and her mom and dad, and another girl and her bf. We got there at 730 and didn't leave til 1045 b/c we were all sharing stories, talking and just hanging out. Jenny's mom made us dinner and prepared dessert, it was really sweet of her.
Hmm so yeah, I need to get ready for bed. 2mrw I've got french at 10, eat lunch, spanish at 230, meet up with Nathalie and Nick around 4 to read our book and hang out for an hour or so yay, then Nick has to work and Nathalie and I will go work out. It'll be another fun-filled day. Good nite kiddies!
