DAY 3 (pt2) - KOKORO NO PUZZLE RHYTHM

Before leaving Meiji Jingu shrine, i bought my little nephew a children's charm to ensure sound mind and body while cyberdoxe bought some oishii homegrown tea leaves.

We took a different route going back to the main road and it was a pretty sight to see the sunlight peeking from the tall trees that sometimes i thought i was in one of Hayao Miyazaki's movies. =)

From Harajaku we walked straight in the general direction of Omotesando and its long line of high end shops. en route, we caught sight of the Samantha Thavasa  billboard atop one of the buildings but it was too far away from where we were unfortunately.

but as we were walking towards Omotesando Hills this halted me on the spot!!

and of course i just had to had to ask the people passing right in front of it to stop so i can take a clear picture. one loud: SUMIMASEN did the trick and the Japanese graciously stopped. one young Japanese however took a look at the bilboard and then said: "yeah yeah"  as if saying "yeah yeah we get it. you like Kimutaku". cyberdoxe and i laughed and she smiled back at us.

Omotesando was lined up with brightly lit trees and it was nice walking down the street. we however passed up Omotesando Hills coz cyberdoxe got all excited seeing the Louis Vuitton shop - one, if not the biggest in the world and we just had to stop there. it took a while for cyberdoxe to decide whether or not she'll buy the Gallera bag.

Afterwards as we were about to cross the intersection this sight greeted us from across the street:

it was the Samantha Thavasa shop! of course cyberdoxe and i  made our way to it. it was no Hermes but i'd be more than willing to buy a bag or two or heck even ten if and ONLY IF the bags came with that GORGEOUS MAN beside Beyonce! LOL

next we took the subway to Akabanebashi station. This was the last item on our agenda. A trip to Tokyo would not be complete without seeing this:

Tokyo Tower is more enchanting at night! last time i was there it was in the afternoon and it had been drizzling. but this time despite the cold wind, Tokyo Tower was a sight to behold. too bad though we didn't have enough time to go up the tower  and see the whole of Tokyo up in lights as we needed to go back to the hotel to get our things and catch the 10pm Shinkansen to Hamamatsu.

however we did go up the 2nd floor where the souvenir shops were. It was Tokyo Tower's 50th anniversary and  there was a miniature tower which also lights up.

we also managed to take our dinner there in the premises - our last meal in Tokyo.
kare raisuu and hot soba. OISHIKATTA!

after the late dinner we hurried back to Ikebukuro, got our luggage and we took the cab to Tokyo Station.

It was quite sad leaving Tokyo behind. there was so much left to do and see. and even though it was already my 2nd time in Tokyo there was still so much of the city that i wanted to explore. 2 days is definitely not enough. as the train picked up speed on its way to Hamamatsu i vowed i will be back in Tokyo very very soon.

next: Day 4 - Hamamatsu
