DAY 4 - PATAPAT VIADUCT, CAPE BOJEADOR, KAPORPORAOAN ROCK,  BANGUI WINDMILLS

on our second day in Pagudpud, we started the day by going to the longest viaduct in the region, the Patapat Bridge.

and although we forgot to make a wish whilst traversing the bridge, the view from the viaduct was breathtaking! the blue sea, the mountains, the sky - we felt like we were in HAWAII! *LOL* (sing with me, "dreams come true in blue hawaii" )

from the bridge we took a bus ride going to the town of burgos for a quick snack and a trike ride going to Cape Bojeador and its famed light house.

the light house itself was closed for renovations - tell me why are all the places closed for renovations that time? so we were not able to go inside and up the light house itself.

from Bojeador our trike driver took us to the road less traveled, to Kaporporaoan White Rock formation. from the main road we had to take a dirt road and from there it was 15minutes on foot to Kaporporaoan. and this was at 11am at what seemed to be at least 32 degrees! and just when we thought we would die from heat exhaustion we were greeted by the waves crashing on the coral rocks  (ala Hihintayin Kita sa Langit) and the white rock formation near the shore.

actually the whole beach area was made up of corals and in between one can see little blue fishies swimming between the rocks. some corals had salt formations on them and there was even a mini lake somewhere in between. Kaporporaoan seemed like another world and i was half expecting to see mermaids and kappas appearing any second.

the trek back to where our trike driver was waiting for us was more tiring since it was noon at that time when the sun was at its peak. and despite slathering on sunscreen and wearing my Pop Up cap, i still got burned! well i do burn easily anyway.

from Kaporporaoan, our trike driver dropped us off Burgos town again. after lunch and spending siesta on the play ground swings, we caught another bus this time going to Bangui and another trike ride going to the Bangui Windmills.

there was something fascinatingly beautiful about these big giants silently humming - no wonder Don Quixote was so taken by them. and i love the black pebbled beach and the huge waves of the sea where they stood guard near by.

we wanted to go to Kabigin falls afterwards but to get there we would have to trek for one hour and since it was already almost 5pm we had to scrap that plan and instead we headed back to Kapuluan for our last night in Blue Lagoon.

next.. Day 5 - Vigan
