D/G Feast 2005 Contest Winners
I am pleased to announce the results of the 2005 D/G Feast contest!
The final standings are as follows (with links to banners):
1st Place - "Feast" by Mynuet
2nd Place - "Twelve Days to Christmas" by Karen Noelle
3rd Place - "The Ties That Bind Us" by Mourning Broken Angel
We had 20 fabulous entries, and everyone should be super proud of their accomplishments. There were so many great stories submitted that there's no way I could have come up with a top 3 without the help of all the judges -- and even then, all the submissions really made us work for it.* Everyone will have a blast reading all the stories and trying out the recipes.
MAJOR THANK YOUS to everyone who participated. For some of you, this was your first time writing fic, and I enthusiastically encourage you to continue. There was so much creativity and talent exhibited that made the stories a joy to read. And of course, this could never have been accomplished without the help of all the wonderful judges, who roxors.
In the coming days, all of the stories (including the three named above) will be posted, approximately three a day. Please feedback all of these wonderful authors, and let them know if you try out the recipes!
* The process for judging went as follows: ropo took all the stories and stripped off the authors' names and any other identifying information. The stories were posted to a judges-only page, where the judges could download, read, and score them using the same template. The scores of all five judges were then combined, and after final scores had been tabulated, the stories were matched back to their original authors.
