So it's been a little while. Things have been pretty eventful. First of all, my (step) grandpa died this morning of cancer :o(. He'd been sick for a while, but the cancer spread and they decided they'd stop the chemo, since there was no point. As soon as we heard they were stopping the chemo we flew down to Florida and spent a few days with him. He slept about 80% of the time, but when he was awake he was generally his old sports loving, harassing self- calling my mom fat Ellen and telling me I'm too chubby for softball and all that. He loved me especially, because I played softball, and kept saying he wanted to see me play one last time. That was only a week ago that we saw him, and now he's... gone. It really is a hard concept to grapple with. Like when my grandma died Feburary two years ago? I had such a hard time dealing with that. As they say, life is a bitch, and then you die.
School has been crazy due to making up work, but whatever. My mid marking period notices were very good, so I'm not too worried. Plus I did better than I ever expected on the IIC. So I guess I can handle the stress (but only if I get into UVA). I can't handle never having time to play my guitar, though. Another thing I can't handle is the weather. As much as I like the colder weather because I'm such a sweatshirtscarfbeanie person, I have serious issues parting with my reefs. And the school is so fucking cold.
Anyway, shenanigans have been making my life. Shenanigans= Matt and I dressing like a wizard and a dirty... sombrero weilding person and trying to break into somebody's house in the middle of the night; dressing Matt in a sweatervest and old man mask and scaring our friends at the Green in the dark; wrapping cars in saran wrap or covering them in flour in the rain; getting stopped by the cops; going to the volleyball game in costume; a David coccoon made of saran wrap; a wild goose chase around the house; and a drunken Saturday night and all THAT entails. Senior year is awesome. It's mostly having the licenses. But if things continue to be this wonderful, I shall be one happy person. Pictures to be posted soon... I decided I'd best develop them myself, because I was wary of what mom would find.
Oh, speaking of licenses, my dad got a new Land Rover. So according to what I'd been told for months, I was supposed to get his Audi. Instead he decided to give it to my brother, so now I get my brother's jeep. Which is totally safe and functional and definitely and improvement upon Hercules, but still, such expensive gas. So yeah, I got shafted. But Hercules won't be in use any longer than another week, so say your goodbyes, loves.
Anybody have a good idea for... a (slutty) Halloween costume? I swear, my friends are trying to be like Mean Girls. Watch
me or
me.
