I can't believe I missed Talk Like A Pirate Day. AGAIN! Yaarggh!
But anyway.
Yesterday I spoke to a guy on the Gretsch Discussion Pages (best guitar forum on the net - no flaming) who is going to send me out some decals/stickers for my guitar. Namely a logo for the pickguard, which I will then paint (it's clear right now, I'm thinking either black, gold, or silver) and also a 'G-brand' - check out
http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?product=G6120DSW&cat1=&cat2=&q=&st=1 to understand just what the hell that is; its the the thingy in the bottom left of the guitar.
Anyway, after that I'm planning to replace the pick-ups, the bridge, and also the bigsby vibrato - all of which will be fairly expensive, but still cheaper than a pro-line Gretsch. Boo-yah.
Nerfbies new record is brilliant: not sure about the re-recorded version of You're Out, but the new version of 77 is fucking awesome - and what a show-stopper on Saturday!
Facebook, people, facebook!
Still at the Hydey. Got a decent roster this week, finish at 7 on Friday, and then the 1st Saturday off in a month - only because I demanded it. Looking at Seek.Com yadayadayada... thinking about one of those high-paying, Fly-In-Fly-Out mining jobs... only, wouldn't that be putting off the inevitable? Shouldn't I be looking for video editing experience?

The whole "friend of a friend" thing is starting to freak me out. We were all surprised by the "Michael and Moriarty are cousins" thing; now be surprised by 'Jason Mak knows some Stephen guy who I think is in a band with Dave who goes out with cousin Tessa' and 'Jeremy call me Jesus is friends with Justin Barnes who I went to school with or possibly his brother maybe'. Damn facebook!
