So, yesterday, Kyle calls me and says "I need your school address because I'm filling out my loan check paperwork and I'm using you for a reference." So, I give him the address, and that's that.
Today, I get a call from the front desk of the dorm saying "we have something for you." So, I'm like, wtf? I go downstairs and it's a big vase of red roses from Kyle- that sneaky sneak! They are absolutely beautiful. I am so lucky to have him. <333

Oh, and uh-
5 fuckin' days!

We had to go into the meat cutting lab today to use the vaccuum packing machine, and as soon as we walk in, Chef says "ugh, smells like death in here," hahah. That lab is so creepy- the tables are all covered in piles of salt, and there's this weird smell in the air, not to mention it's a "refrigerated" room, meaning it's kept at about 50 degrees all the time. Oh, and the Chef who teaches meat cutting ALWAYS wears a hard hat and a lab coat, and that cracks me the fuck up.

Bake tech was fun today. Our final project is to make, basically, a "cake mix" (or cookie, brownies, whatever,) like you would buy in a store, that you only have to add one or two things to, and we have to package it up all cute and stuff, too. We're making mint chocolate chip brownies. We put the package together today, and really, I think this is something I could give out as a gift- it's that cute. We vaccuum-packed all the dry ingredients (including powdered Altoids to make it minty!- it's better than it sounds, trust me- they taste like those thin mint girl scout cookies) and bought a cheap muffin tin and muffin cups to go with it, then wrapped it all up in cellophane with a ribbon around it. This is by far the most fun project I've ever done.

I'm not considering it Valentine's Day yet, since Kyle is still 250 miles away.
Tomorrow, though- it's on. ;)
I fuckin' love that boy. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
