[The journal thumps open as if it's been dropped abruptly - because it has - and the picture is, at first, total white.]

Dammit -

[As Wesley picks up the journal again, turning it over, he comes into view, looking a little bluish. That could be because he's standing knee-deep in snow with a thin shirt and no coat or jacket. He places the journal ( Read more... )

hypothermia is a go, end of mallynapping, back!

W-Wesley? [Her voice will be coming over the journals, sounding a little distant/out-of-it, like it did in the episode with the moisture-sucking slugs. You can see white behind her too.]

[Wes is now un-frozen enough to, at the sound of Fred's voice coming from the journal, immediately re-open his own, already reaching for jackets.] Fred?

[Sounding rather shivery but relieved kinda:] Y-you're back! It's cold, Wesley...

[Wesley pulls on his jacket, snowpants, boots, etc., and then picks up the journal again.] Earlier today, yes. Are you in the forest somewhere?

I'm on my way home. I was... looking for you? [She seems confused by this, like it makes sense but somehow isn't right.]

For me? [Wesley's heading out the door with spare clothes, murmuring to himself:] Fred, I think you may be disoriented, possibly from cold. Can you look around, or turn the journal so I can see where you are?

[She's turning it around... She's out behind the community building way on the bottom.]

[He's on his way there.] I'll be there in just a few minutes. Stay where you are.

Okie-dokie. [You'll hear a crunchy noise as she curls her knees up to her chest to wait, but you won't be able to see her, since she's setting the journal down, facing the sky.]

[Wesley runs the rest of the way in silence. He slows down when he gets behind the community building, scanning the area as he walks, until he spots her.] Fred! [And he's running towards her.]

Wesley! [A bright-ish grin. Oh look, she's kinda blue too. And the entire right side of her face is bruised, divided almost perfectly from the non-bruised half. It seems to go the whole way down that side of her neck, too.

[Wesley's eyes widen as he takes in the bruise.] Here, let's get you into some warmer clothing. [He helps her into the spare jacket he brought. He brought snowpants, too, but he's not going to be much help with those. Being a gentleman and all.]

[The bruise may look bad, but most people come back in MUCH worse shape. This is just surface stuff. She accepts the jacket, though. It's amazingly warm almost right away.] Golly, it sure was dumb of me not to bring a sweater, w-wasn't it? [She's never been kidnapped before, so she doesn't know that's what happened. She thinks she just went out in the snow looking for Wes and got hypothermic or something and that messed with her brain.]

[Wes is aware he got off pretty lucky, himself; he's also very aware that he was kidnapped, despite the slightly fuzzy memories. He gives her a worried smile.] I doubt you did so on purpose. Not to worry, you'll be back in the nice warm house in no time. Shall we try standing up? [He shifts over to her side, one arm behind her to support her.]

Oh, well, alright. [Though confused, she's still rather agreeable. She'll be standing up, well enough but a little bit shaky.]

[Wes keeps his arm around her waist in case she slips in the snow.] Fantastic. Now how about walking?[He'll guide her in the right direction if she can.]
