It has begun....
I got a call yesterday from an agency asking me to audition for a voice over job dubbing Japanese animes! A few years ago I auditioned for something like that and I think they called me back like 3 times. I was 98% sure I was going to get it but then I never received a follow-up call. Perhaps I'll have better luck this time! Okay, I'll think positive and give it my all. As Conan O' Brien so gracefully put it:
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen.
In other news, same day I got called up for an audition, a friend of mine who works at Converse asked me if I could 'host' this photo exhibition for David Corio as part of Converses' initiative to "spark" creativity and interest. This dude has photographed big rock icons back in the day like the Ramones, the Clash, sex pistols, Blondie etc..etc.. so to me I think this would be a great opportunity for a subject that really interests me!
