A long time ago I had a Xanga account that I updated twice and then forgot about. Only one of the entries was any good. Here it is.
I walk out of the front doors of the school. I turn left and head in front of the massive windows that look into the cafeteria, trying not to listen to all the slow kids talk about American Idol. I make a split second decision not to ride the bus, as it is a nice day today. Reaching turnaround, I stroll in front of an oncoming bus, taking two steps in each painted section of the crosswalk. The walk to the parking lot is long and dull, like being forced to chew gum with no flavor. There seems to be a new kid waiting by the stadium entrance everyday. It's weird. I giggle at Erin and Becca and they skid away becaue they can't handle me. I make my way through the trees of the school yard, weaving through light and shadow, yin and yang. No one confronts me at the threeway so I hold my steady pace. Near the bottom of the hill a car drives by and Zach flicks me off while blasting loud music. Making my way up the hill, I again have to avoid people's eyes. But I fail, and I end up smiling and waving anyway. Why do they always FUCKING STARE AT ME?! Muttering to myself, I find myself listening to the gravel under my feet, then looking at the freshly painted house, and finally opening the door to air conditioning.
