Feb 20, 2010 15:36

[There's a young boy walking across the City's vast shoreline. He appears to be around thirteen to fifteen years of age, tall, and dressed in a manner custom to Japan during the Waring States period, complete with a sword. There's a vague sort of familiarity to him that those who know Shouryuu might recognize, but for the most part, he appearance ( Read more... )

[The "Your Majesty" nearly sends him dashing in the opposite direction. He stops himself before he can really in any sense of the world flee, because the voice so happened to be female. He looks around the shoreline, because her voice couldn't possibly be coming from the device he just ruined. That voice had best belong to a living female. Naotaka doesn't recognize her voice, of course, but desperately wishes he did, because not knowing a girl's name is absolutely criminal.]

[He laughs, pausing, and hurriedly tries to make himself look a bit more presentable and less like a wet dog. And so, naturally, he answers in the manliest voice he can possibly take on.] ...Yes?

LMAO FOREVER. Shouryuu with teenager hormones. ohgod. jewelofhou February 21 2010, 02:27:37 UTC
[STARE. She's still trying to figure out whether or not this is actually Shouryuu.]

I, um... Is that really you? You seem... different?

[He laughs again. Oh God, why can't he remember her name?]

Do I really? [He's peering over some rocks now, looking for you. Device in hand. It sounds like it wants to die.] For the better, I hope. [He hesitates. His female radar clearly isn't working today.] So... where exactly are you? Not that I mind talking like this, because you have a very pretty voice. ...Have I ever told you that before? Because you do, if I haven't.

NO GET OUT. jewelofhou February 21 2010, 02:59:10 UTC
.... [Well, that solves that mystery. Must be a curse.]

The little box you're holding. It's a communication device. ... And thank you. [And she knows Youko is looking for him, so lets help... by using female charm!] I would certainly love to meet you in person, Your Majesty. Why don't you tell me where you are and then stay there so I can find you?

[You don't even have to use your female charm. You just have to be one.]

Just Naotaka's fine, you know. No need for honorifics or formality. Skip it. Makes me feel old. The place isn't even mine yet, so I don't see the point. There is no point. [He laughs.] Father would have to keel over first, and he's too stubborn to go anytime soon.

[He pauses and looks around his surroundings, absolutely beaming. You have made his day.] The beach. There's some sort of tall building in the distance. Beats me what it is. Don't recognize it.

[Shouryuu's dating criteria: Female. Alive. Human.]

Naotaka? Oh... c-certainly, then. Naotaka it is. [What is this weird lifestyle you're speaking of... It actually kinda interests her, but she'll save that for when he's normal.]

Building... Ah, the lighthouse? All right. I think my friend will come and find you. So don't move from that spot.

Oh, um.... [... There is no way out of this.] V-Very well... I'll accompany her too.

[Cue a moment of childish glee.] Really? You mean it?

...Now what did you say your name was again?

[ohgod why did she just think that was sort of adorable.] Of course. I wouldn't say I was and then not do it. You have my word.

I think I'd rather have your name than you word.

Oh, I'm sorry! My name is Shoukei.

Make one up? I'm not sure how that would help your cause. [Sort of fears what he might come up with for some reason.]

Shoukei? "Kei" as in "jewel," right?

Well, it would help me remember you better. Especially if I wanted to really remember you or something, which I do. Like... if I didn't want to forget you ever... um... Tamago! There we are. Tama for "Jewel" and Go for "Word." Because you said you wouldn't ever go against your word.

fffff you and your puns. jewelofhou February 22 2010, 04:39:02 UTC
Huh? Well...

... [Wow, she finds this kind of interesting. How did he do that? :O] T.. Tamago? [She pronounces it a little weirdly.] That's... a very thoughtful and elaborate way to think of a name. I'm flattered you wish to remember me so fondly, Your--ah... Naotaka.
