[There's a crackling of noise, the sound of claws scraping--almost impatiently--across carpeted floor. Then, the device picks up panicked yowl that ends in something of an almost hesitant, threatening, confused hiss. This is replied to by a different being entirely, though the sounds are like in kind, though even lower in pitch and more of a

[He shook his head with a frustrated growl.] No. Not them. Them. [What were they? He couldn't think of it--or much of anything. The words were evading him, draining away like the water through the cracks, and just as hard to recall.]
[Still, those beasts of his. Where were they where were they where were they? No, why weren't they out? They were there. Always would be. Was he stupid? The beast that was no human? No. Yes. No. Yes. Never looked out for his well-being. Always, just... Damn their hatred for war and blood. It made this one lose his common sense, sometimes. Irrational. Them. His shirei? No, if he summoned them they would fight. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) Rokuta didn't have to think about it. The lunge triggered them whether he wanted it to or not. White arms and wings appeared in a flash, arms pulling the kirin backwards and wings enfolding him as a shield.
This was more a shield to prevent blood from touching him for Rikaku sprang at the same time. Although he didn't quite fit in the living room and knocked over and/or destroyed nearly everything there. The wolf like youma managed to intercept the lunge, at least, but also paid mind not to actually harm the king-turned-lion. Rokuta squirmed desperately in Yokuhi's grip, pulling at her arms and trying to push the wings out of his way.]
No! Stop! Stop it! Don't fight! Rikaku!
[This was too much. First that cannibalism curse and now this? No, he wasn't going to let that happen! No more bloodshed!]
