There had been a warm front recently and Wendla did not like this one bit. She stood in front of her house, not quite as bundled up as she was before, pouting a little to herself. She watched the icicles melt and the snow slowly make way for the wet grass underneath. No, this would not do at all. She sighed.

Melchior poked his head out the front door, peering at Wendla curiously. "Is something wrong?"

"It's melting and I don't like it," she said firmly. :|

Melchior smiled, wrapping his arms around himself and following her out without his overcoat. "It'll be back?"

"I hope so!" Wendla exclaimed before turning around to face him. "Oh, Melchi, you've forgotten your winter things!"

Melchior laughed, not quite too terribly cold yet. It wouldn't be long before he was escaping inside again. "I must admit, my intention was to coax you back inside."

"Oh! Did you need me for something?" Wendla asked.

"Yes," Melchior smiled. "But not for anything in particular."

[girlin_bloom]

"Well! Why don't you stay outside with me, since it's getting so warm and all?"

"I guess I'll need my coat, then."

[girlin_bloom]

Wendla simply held her arms out to him, a hopeful smile on her face.

Melchior smiled back and settled himself in her arms. "You'll keep me warm?"

"I shall try my best to!" she said, hugging him close. "I don't suppose I'd be very good at it, though."

"Why do you say that?" Melchior frowned.

"Oh! I'm quite tiny, Melchi," she giggled.

"... That doesn't seem to be a problem at night," Melchior reminded her, grinning mischievously.
