saturdays shouldn't be as confusing as last saturday. everybody's original plans didn't push through. there were plan a's, b's, & c's even. but it was all good. the night ended well. and things couldn't have gone better.
anyway, the whole point of this post is about what i wore that night. i don't usually dress up when i go out. t-shirt and jeans would do. and if i do dress up, it's still not considered as dressing up by some people (i'm talking about you
sullenboy_nsh). i was originally going to wear a white v-neck shirt and black skinny pants. but i thought, it would be plain and boring. so i found a way to dress it up.
this is me before the accesorising.
me after.
you have to agree, the shirt is too plain for a night out. it needed some accesorising or some jeujing (did i spell that correctly?). anyway, ang bading bading, diba? i initially intended on wearing a scarf i was going to steal from my sister, but there was something blocking it and i can't open it. so the next best thing is to search my mom's cabinet. cause you know, old people love them sparkly stuff in their wardrobe. and i was right. i found that shawl and immediately tried it on. it had gold tinsel woven into it and has a floral design which wasn't too obvious. of course, my mom doesn't know i used it. she was out of town. hehe! and contrary to popular belief (at leasts neesh's and
shelly's), i don't own a sparkly scarf/shawl with tassles. i do have my limits. anyway, i don't think i'll be wearing a similar outfit anytime soon. that was a one time thing. and i don't plan on dressing up like that again. the novelty of it wears off immediately.
but you know, maneesh, i think you've made your point about dressing up. i don't think i want to go to a bar again and be barred from going in for free just because i'm not wearing a top with a collar. i do wonder though, what made the guy said to the doorman and when he allowed me to go in for free. i'm pretty sure i'm not the type of guy who frequents that kind of bar (a straight hiphop club). and the shawl was probably the gayest thing in that room. although, i do suspect some closeted boys there. i got more looks (not stares of confusion, ah, because of what i'm wearing) from boys there than at government. haha!
p.s. the shawl helped in hiding that hideous paunch. i could eat and eat and not mind that my tummy is growing big. hehe!
